Lee wrote a poem that got published in the Chicago Tribune. Believed to be something of a Mothers Day poem. Sometimes he would stay up late at night writing poems, for hours, going through pitchers of water. He would say that he didn’t remember writing them, it was just god helping him do the writing.11
