Document: OL-16610-01, Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 3.x (CLI Command Reference)
There is no mention of “show fcns database npv”, its missing.
You can include tokens in the form $(token) in the message text. Tokens will be replaced with the corresponding configuration variable. For example:
•$(hostname) displays the host name for the switch
•$(line) displays the vty or tty line no or name
•The $(line-desc) and $(domain) tokens are not supported.
This is not correct. At some point, and I am not sure exactly when, SAN-OS 3.x stopped supported $(hostname) and $(line). This is either by design or a bug, I am not sure which, but neither works anymore in SAN-OS. You should probably check with the DE’s to find out if its intentionally removed or if in fact it should be working but is not.
This page has information about “show sme cluster” under it. This information belongs on the previous page. As this page has to do with the code-page command.
Command Description show sme cluster Displays information about the Cisco SME cluster
This page talks about setting the fcdroplatency switch, which is not supported in 3.x:
MDS1(config)# fcdroplatency switch 1
changing this parameter is not allowed
could not update the value
This page claims that fcns reject-duplicate-pwwn vsan is disabled by default, but it appears it is in fact enabled by default in SAN-OS 3.x
This page claims that iscsi interface vsan-membership is disabled by default, but in the latest versions of SAN-OS 3.x it is in fact enabled.
This page talks about dh group 14, there is no dh group 14. The page should be saying “group 4”
This page speak of the show fcfwd command and several options to it. At some point this command was changed to show system internal fcwd so the documentation should be updated. The correct commands are:
show system internal fcfwd fcnat vsan
show system internal fcfwd flogimap entries
show system internal fcfwd idxmap interface-to-port
show system internal fcfwd idxmap port-to-interface
show system internal fcfwd idxmap statistics
show system internal fcfwd pcmap
show system internal fcfwd sfib multicast vsan
show system internal fcfwd sfib statistics
show system internal fcfwd sfib unicast vsan
show system internal fcfwd spanmap rx
show system internal fcfwd spanmap tx
Under the command “show sprom” this page shows information that belongs on the previous page/previous command:
span session source interface
Configures the SPAN traffic in both ingress (rx) and egress (tx) directions.
